Hi... I have called this surgery 14 times from my mobile withjn the last hour today and never get an answer. I have faxed them. No answer. I have tried three times from my office phone - no answer. The reception area is plastered with notices of what the reception staff will not do for patients. The level of help you get is minimal, the patients are made to feel like an intrusion. The surgery says it is open from 8am - 8pm. It is not. The reception staff put recorded announcements on the phone restricting times when patients can call, thus increasing the congestion of calls. The entire surgery was closed yesterday afternoon 'for training'. Training on what? And how about holding the training outside surgery hours so that patients are not made to suffer? The reception and appointments service offered by Southborough Lane surgery is lamentable. Are the doctors even aware of how bad the situation has become? I presume there is a practice manager? Perhaps he/she could get in touch and explain why the service is so bad. I would call myself but my call would not be answered. Oh, and incidentally, I need some telephone advice from the duty doctor. That's all. So perhaps someone could get in touch? 07774 973023.

I'm sorry to hear you have struggled to get through to make an appointment. I believe you have already liaised with Katie, the Practice Manager, regarding the issues raised. However if there is anything more we can do to assist, please contact us again. As explained, the practice does all it can to hold training outside of our opening hours wherever possible.
