Very belated feedback (sorry !) - Made the mistake of not checking my meds one day, and completely ran out of one item. Knowing that you can't request a repeat over the phone, I took a chance and dropped into the surgery and threw myself on the mercy of the receptionists. A friend of mine once described doctors' receptionists as "Dragons at the locked and barred iron gates, denying entry to all who seek access to the hallowed, vaulted halls beyond". He was very good at English at school. Well, this is in no way a description of the lovely ladies at Southborough ! I have been registered with this surgery for over 20 years and have always found "Our Gals" on the desk friendly, helpful and proficient. And on this day in particular managed to get me a prescription printed and signed by the duty Doc within minutes to get me out of trouble. Fantastic ! They even shared their chocolates with me (honest Dr Long, they forced me to eat them !) - Thanks ladies, Kathy, Laurie and Pauline. the A-Team.

"Our Gals" will be delighted with that feedback so thank you on their behalf and I shall of course pass this on to them. Doctors' receptionists are so often misrepresented and our receptionists do us proud time and time again. They do a stressful job, dealing with vastly differing sets of circumstances often all in one day. If it is possible to solve a problem, they will do their utmost. Of course, it is not always possible to resolve problems as quickly as this so we encourage patients to order medication in plenty of time. Many thanks for your kind feedback.
