Biggest issue is the lack of being able to book an appointment through the receptionist. You HAVE to phone between 8 and 10 to speak to a doctor. Very difficult when you are travelling to work from 8 till 9 and after 9 you will be lucky to get an appointment with the GP. Not everyone needs the GP for an emergency consultation. I have 2 chronic illnesses that are being dealt with, but have several things I want to sort out and see the GP for but don't feel I can do so, do I risk taking a day off to not get an appointment? think not. Other issue is lack of contact. E.G I needed my prescription and ordered online. Was not done, so had no medication, Luckily the chemist knows me and gave a weeks supply. The prescription was not done as I need a medical review, but no one has contacted me about this. A text would do, they can text about health checks (which they get paid for) but not reviews? In addition if you have any tests done, bloods or x-ray, DO NOT wait for them to call you and let you know the result, even if they are abnormal, they dont call or text. The only reason I am with this surgery is that its local and the pharmacy attached to the surgery are very helpfull.
