Sometimes it is very difficult to get get an appointment or a telephone consultation...I've waited 2 weeks before now for a telephone consultation for myself. We are told the doctors are fully booked up. It seems as though there are too many patients with the surgery. When I do get an appointment or a phone consultation, I am more than pleased with the advice and treatment I get. I am a red card holder, and sometimes I have still been told the doctors are fully booked up.
I see dr prince and the care that she gives is superb ,she always listens to what you have to say before she makes a diagnosis.she makes you fill as if you have nown her all your life, she puts you at ease witch is so reassuring.
I find the receptionist helpful and patient.
I do think a few more phone lines would be useful it can be difficult to get through and difficult to get a routine nurse or doctor appointment within a reasonable period of time.
I do however think that in an urgent case it is possible to see the doctor on the day and have spoken to the doctor when i felt concerned.
had appointment with nurse today self check in was not working 7 queuing. Nurse saw me 30 minutes late. leaflets on posters were not available on rack.
my wife phoned to make an appointment with her GP as she had been prescribed a medication that the pharmacist said she should not take. Told no appointments available in the morning asked to call after 2 p.m when she called after 2 p.m was told her doctor was not working in the afternoon.
Seems like there is little or no organisation at the surgery.
