My child needed her booster but the only clinic was during a short window in the morning. I work full time and my child is in full time nursery and the times available meant she would have missed her lunch.
The receptionist was great at finding a work around and managed to get us in a tea time appointment I can't thank her enough for going out of her way to resolve this for me

Booked an appointment online regarding swollen ankles, ( I have heart failure ). When I was seen it was by the nurse who told me she couldn't help me with this but would take my bloods. She suggested I spoke to the receptionist which I did, only to be told to phone up for another appointment...

I was lucky enough to get an appointment. I phoned for a non urgent appointment, was informed they didn’t do it any more. There was a space in the afternoon, which I great fully excepted. I thanked the receptionist for her help & the doctor. First class treatment thank you.

Takes time to get through to surgery by phone sometimes 20 plus minotes or longer

I am sorry that your experience was not as you would expect and if you would like to discuss this with me in more detail please do not hesitate to get in touch with me. On average we receive anywhere between 8,500-10,000 inbound calls every week. As you can appreciate given those volumes it is inevitable that callers may have to wait for their call to be answered as our receptionists are busy on other calls or dealing with patients attending the surgery. A recent survey of local practices showed we have more receptionist hours than any other practice for our practice population so we are doing our best to support all of our patients to get through to us as efficiently as possible. You can also use the new online Patient triage system as you may prefer to use that than phone us; details of that can be found on our website as well as a link to the form to complete.
