Reception staff need more training. They lack knowledge on basic appointment requirements. A simple file next to the computer with appointment type and any special requirements would be sufficient as I wouldn't expect them to remember so much information. This would avoid wasting doctors, patients and nurses time for appointments that do not fall under practice or NHS guidelines, particularly surrounding vaccination. Nursing, reception and dispensery staff frequently heard talking in an unprofessional manner about patients. .ore trai in requires.

Suggested improvements
Ensure reception staff are clear about how to book appointments, particularly more complex. Ensure nursing team look at schedule ahead of consultation to rectify and appointments booked unnecessarily and avoid wasting patients and staff time. Provide training g to whole team.on professionalism, and practice policy not to discuss patients in the waiting, reception or dispensary.
