The new system is terrible. Apparently it’s to speed up the process. It actually makes it a lot longer as receptionists need to go through a questionnaire so that they can put you in a triage queue. A routine appointment now takes between 3 - 4 weeks and if you have an urgent need you will probably sent to a UTC (nurse led usually) or A&E. Most of the receptionists try their hardest to help but unfortunately they do not have any power to help book appointments or solve problems as the decisions are made by the triage doctor of the day.

Suggested improvements
See patients at the doctors instead of telling them to go elsewhere.
