I have been registered with Shephall Way Surgery for over 30 years. In that time I have contracted meningitis and puemonia, both diagnosed instantly and resulted in my admission to hospital within the hour. I have asthma and experienced a period when it was difficult to manage, throughout the care I recieved from the practice doctors and nurses was excellent. I can honestly say that my asthma is now fully under control and has been for many years. I currently have an on-going shoulder problem which is being addressed. I am treated equally with care and consideration but also as an intelligent person who is responsible for making decisions about the best treatment for me. I have waited four and a half months for an appointment at the muscular-skeletal clinic (this is not a reflection on my GP but on the wieght of demand placed on stretched NHS services) when I arrived at the clinic the person responsible for my treatment had a letter from my GP - Dr Savage, which was supportive and thoughtful in referring to my circumstances. I think this practice is excellent and providing the best care in the difficult circumstances all public services find themselves in. I would heartly recommend this surgery to anyone moving into the area.
