The recent innovation of electronic booking in is very helpful - to the receptionists as well as the patients, I would imagine! Also, I like the system of having a telephone consultation with a GP and, if they then say you need to be seen, you will always be fitted in. Sometimes getting an appointment in advance can be problematic - you get told 'dates haven't been released from the diaries yet' but if you leave it til nearer the time, you run the risk of finding there's no availability/ Or, despite the doctor saying 'come & see me and the nurse on the same day', that often doesn't work out. However, I am sure these issues are not specific to this practice and I have to say I have always found the reception staff to be polite, friendly and helpful. The vagaries of vatious systems are not their fault, after all!!
