This review is in reference to one visit where I was dissatisfied - not how I feel about the practice overall. Tues 1st March - Upon collecting my daughter from pre-school (5pm) they felt she had impetigo and suggested popping via the GP surgery on way home as local. I popped in with my 3 year old daughter and the receptionist advised no appts. I explained as there, with a 3 year old I was willing to wait till end of surgery but I was told to go to Brants Bridge. It was now 6pm, and the receptionist there questioned why I had been directed to that service. They were surprised given I was in the reception area of the GP's with a young child that I was referred. They weren't questioning me but I felt challenged and caught in the middle of two reception teams. After a 2hr wait at Brants Bridge I left without seeing anyone and waited until morning for an emergency apt back at SGP (after which I received your usual good practice). I was left very disappointed the eve of 1st March. My understanding was that if a young child was already in the surgery then I could have waited to see a doctor at the end of surgery. Rather than be sent 'x' miles away with a young child approaching bedtime.
