I have been a patient here for 25 years. Back then, it was a great surgery. What changed, what went wrong? Now it is the worst. Utter joke of a place. Ring at 8.00 am to get an appointment, but you can't get through. And when you do finally get someone to answer the phone, all the appointments have gone. If you are lucky, you can have one in 8 weeks time ! If no one can get through, how are these appointments going so fast? Reception push you down the line of eConsult. Seriously, don't bother. A week it took to get a reply last time, and it's taken 4 days to even get any one to look at it. Get's you off the phone system though. As for seeing a GP, forget it. This process is incredibly stressful, and for someone who may not be well, you are adding to their stress. It is not the fault of the receptionists, but they get the brunt of the stressed callers, which is not right, or fair on them. The practice manager does need to take a serious look at what is going on here.

Suggested improvements
Either you have too many patients or not enough doctors. Given that the housing boom, less patients in not likely, so more GPs are needed. Also, sort the phone system out.
