Dr Andy Hodson and Dr Greaves are very good doctors in my experience and I have been very pleased with the care I have received from them both. Consistently good and understanding. I would recommend them both. The problem with the surgery is getting through on the telephone and the lack of appointments. There was one time recently when I was calling on a Monday morning when surgery opened. I made 82 call backs before I was successful in getting into the queue. The process of getting through to speak to a receptionist took 22 mins. I was then told there were no appointments left for that day and I would need to call again the next day. It was very frustrating. I recognise this might be an exception but I always have difficulty getting through first thing in the morning and getting an appointment at a time that fits in with my work and travel arrangements (I work 40 miles away and have to make up the time I'm not in the office). The receptionists could be more paient and understanding. The Phlebotomist is very efficent but there is no cover for her when she is away and it would be helpful the have appointments on Saturdays, even for one Saturday a month. The nurses are very good and couldn't be nicer. The communication of recent changes has been very poor. I've been left not being able to order a repeat prescription because the system has changed and I now have to go into the surgery to register before I an reorder. There has been no proactive communication to existing online users that the system is no longer valid and patients need to re register. The old online system needs to be disabled as it's confusing that you can still log in and get id/password reminders. This gives the impression it is still in use but it's not working.
