To get an appointment by phone, it usually is a very long wait. Email is ok, but too many questions. Some phone messages to different staff ignored or forgotten for several weeks. Those of us that go to Praze surgery are expected to queue outside for drugs for what has been up to three quarters of an hour, within a two hour window. If one is too infirm, or is unable to stand for long periods then it seems to be deemed tough. Winter is coming. Praze is a large surgery with plenty of room for social distancing. Praze patients are expected to travel to Connor Downs should they get an appointment when we have perfectly good surgery here. What about those who don't drive? There are staff at this surgery second to none, but equally others who fall far short. This surgery was once renowned to be one of the best, and within the last 18 months. What has happened? Why are the patients in Praze not being given consideration and perhaps both surgeries used, even if on different days? It is very sad that those staff who are the best that can be, are lumped with reviews such as this. The doctor's should be back at work seeing patients, same as nurses and other healthcare workers. Nothing wrong with change, but not at the detriment of their patients. If they had a house fire no doubt the firecrews would be expected to turn up? The founders of Praze surgery would be appalled at the extremely quick drop in healthcare. Covid 19 notwithstanding.
