The new waiting areas are VERY clinical and impersonal. More like a hospital waiting area.
Reception staff need customer service training, more courtesy, dignity and confidentiality required.
The appointment procedure is a farce - if you need a non urgent one and cannot get in on your GP 's 2 week window you have to wait another fortnight before attempting again. I know appointments are possible with another doctor but I have a long history of problems that my own GP knows and understands, I want to see them, not spend 5 minutes of my precious 10 minute appointment précising my condition. I recently went to pick up a prescription - the receptionist told me to go sit and wait and after 40 minutes I realised she had gone home! Not even passed anything on to another receptionist, I could have been sat there for hours! Such a shame about the above as the staff in general and the doctors and nurses are all helpful, kind and good at their jobs! The practice manager needs to get his act together, perhaps get a new one?!
The Doctors from Brought on House and Dr Wakefield are brilliant BUT unless you have at least half an hour to spend holding on the telephone there is no chance of getting an answer from a human being.
Guys What's going on please Please add another extra Telephonne line. This is shame i have been trying to get hold of receptionist since 12 O clock Not able to speak to some one.
What is going on where is Practice Manager. this is happening since Poplar grove merged with another surgery. I have been with them for 30 years never ever had any issue to get through. Can some one reply back or issue a statement what is going on. I have been trying to get hold of my GP or even Duty Doctor...... not very happy
Receptionists are polite and helpful, they try and resolve issues on the spot.
