absolutely terrible to get through on the telephone to either arrange an appointment or a prescription.....!!! So far I have been on 15minutes this time, I have phoned twice earlier today....!!! Awful music while waiting which is even more depressing.....!!!
I have been a patient for 19years - in recent years I have been in need of their help on a very regular basis - I am always treated with respect, referred when appropriate, all the staff 'go the extra mile' to accommodate my medical needs. One small gripe is the self check-in machine regarding germs!
I had a small leg issue that re occurs as the cold creeps in and Winter starts. Very serious if left and the practice identified a while ago the right way to correctly treat it . The recent cold spell acted as the trigger and wow it seemed I could have a very personal balloon for Christmas ! I e mailed the surgery and asked one of the doctors (by e mail) if we could trigger the response medication. Without a problem this was duly arranged and within 12 hours the medication was available at the pharmacy . A brilliant example of good use of resource , time and effeciency . Excellent job , again just one of many "the team" at the Health Centre have completed for me. More of the same please.. really good.
I like the on-line booking system, so I can chose which GP I wish to see, when and where. Getting through on the phone can sometimes be difficult. It can also take a week or longer to see a GP, if not an emergency. Don't expect to see the GP at the time of the appointment, delays of 30min are not uncommon (longest wait I had was 2hr, but under exceptional circumstances).
Extremely efficient patient centred service.
