I have been back at parsons drove surgery just over a year after moving back to the area. I was registered at the surgery before moving away about 14 years ago! Wow what a difference! What and when did it go so wrong? I was registered with a Asian doctor who's name I won't say! This doctor who is worse than useless. For example on one occasion he phoned me. I knew it was parsons drove as it displayed on my screen. The doctor started talking and after two or three minutes i tried to but in partly because of his accent and partly because I had no idea what he was talking about. When he eventually let me speak, I apologized for not understanding him and asked if he could go slower. At this point the asked who he was talking to so I answered with my name and explained he had called me. His answer was he had called the wrong number. He then put the phone down without even a apology, explanation or even a goodbye. He could have been telling me anything about anyone. I have now changed GP to doctor right who is just lovely. Also had the pleasure of talking with doctor chandler. This is not why I'm writing this. Yesterday I had the misfortune to talk to a woman at the the surgery called Angela over a mix up over my medication. Is there a special school after reception staff are taught to be rude, arrogant, ignorant and really unhelpful. I have several medical issues and this mistake may well have been mine or just as equally the surgery!! It really seamed that she was determined not to help me. As a result of this I am no longer on some of my medication. She abruptly adviced me to call back this morning and talk to a doctor. I really didn't want to talk to a doctor as I'm sure they are all very busy. Just wanted some help to sort out my meds. It's quite amused me this morning as I was so upset and disappointed in parsons drove that I started looking into moving practice when I came across reviews on other practices in the area. Most of the complaints are against reception staff. Funny that!! Why is this being permitted? Back to Angela! Where is her humanity gone with people? I could keep phoning in the hope I met get some help but just don't want to have to go through reception staff! I believe I am talking with my GP on Tuesday. I shall wait until then.
