I find the length of time on the phone waiting to go through all the options very worrying, also the number of days which elapse before you can see the doctor , who knows you best and has been treating you. That said ,when I needed some advice and treatment recently I rang and was told to attend 45 minutes later to wait for the emergency doctor. He had five patients in front of me to see and I waited exactly an hour , which I thought was excellent. He was very cheerful, professional and helpful. Just a pity there are so many patients registered with the practice and only one phone line. All in all I think you do a fabulous job dealing with all the anxious people who come through the doors with good humour and patience. One more thing , it would be great if there could be a chiropodist available sometimes just to see, treat and cut older patient's nails. I cannot find one NHS chiropodist willing to cut my husband's fungal nails though I can get mine cut by Age UK at Purley. Apparently he doesn't fall into any category where he can be treated at Purley Hospital Podiatry clinic!
