I don’t underestimate the work and ease our Surgery receptionists do daily. I was knocked out by the kindness of more than 2 or 3 recently. And realise how hard working they are, it’s NOT just answering the phone or booking patients in, they carry a lot of knowledge and are skilled employees.
Suggested improvements
I can’t think of much apart from it is essential for all who work in the NHS to have a proper lunch break and coffee breaks too. It’s more important as we get older but the amount of ‘patients talking at you’ they get daily in London and other cities has to be immense!
