One can ring at 8.00 am.However you can ring until you eventually get through at 8.45 am only to be told all appointments are taken. Any attempt for an appointment the next day is met with "Ring at 8pm tomorrow". This Surgery offers 7.5 min appointments which if you have any other than a common ailment offers the distinct possibilty of a misdiagnosis. In summary a pathetic and absymal situation! The best advice I can offer if you can't get through is wait until the weekend then go to A&E at the QEQM. You may have to wait 4 hours or more but at least you'll get to see a Doctor! Why they can't offer a duty Doctor service where you ring and get an appointment with any GP at the practice on that day [who may be yours] . This is anyone's guess. There could be slots for booking separate morning and afternoon appointments , not a half hour in the early morning for an appointment any time on the same day. If you want an appointment with your own GP you are offered one in 14 days. I was on the books at a previous practice that offered this service and it worked exceptionally well. Furthermore, if you turned up in the afternoon on spec you were generally offered a "no show " or cancelled appointment in an hour. If you can get to see a Doctor at this practice you'll get very good service!
