When I joined the Newbury St Practice in 2013 I was fortunate enough not to need it very much and as I have very close friends who are GP’s and as I have worked with our NHS for many years I am fortunate enough to have friends, sadly my health has deteriorated drastically and so needed to after loses 2stone in a few months and had extreme exhaustion and night sweats and being sick my friends were worried I eventually got a GP appointment, my GP referred me to have tests done at the hospital, after several months I am still recovering from the lethargy and pain and night sweats and still feeling exhausted, as my friends have said why did my GP not get in contact, as I am down as a venerable adult because of my history, trying to get a appointments with the receptionists is a issue as they are not helpful at all. My GP actually said that I can go to another surgery which frankly I was shocked to hear and feel it’s a cop out … if GP’s do not want to actually listen then what are they doing ???

Suggested improvements
Really a lot, listen , train your staff to talk with respect and understanding and care and compassion, and not to be rude, and the doctors shame on you really you have got to sit up and listen we are all trying to just keep going but my health is my wealth and sadly I’m struggling desperately trying to keep going and you have not even picked up the phone the practice manager is terrible she is not listening it’s a shameful place and I am at my wits end
