The telephone service is quite tedious, the 3 options on the menu don't have enough info, the hold music is awful, and there should be an option for no hold music (sensory difficulties). Emailing is much better for me, but you can't make appointments this way, although I am able to let them know of things, and make requests. There is an online prescription request service, which is appalling.

Suggested improvements
The reception staff are great, if a little cold sometimes. The ones who had been there a while, I knew, so there was better rapport... Mistakes with med requests have happened, and I had to go through the Pharmacist to sort it. The lighting could be better in the public areas - sensory difficulties, it isn't very autism friendly generally, but then most public areas aren't... The doctors at NEMS Platform St practice have been some of the better ones that I have had over the years, with my Autism, and various health issues, I have had better experiences with the NEMS team than many other places. Specifcally Dr Oke and Dr Turrill. Some of the South Asian Doctors have been slightly less understanding or accepting of certain problems, but all have been very accommodating of my support workers that I have been recently bringing with me. They have always been sympathetic and listen to what you need to say; the don't generally rush you through stuff; they ask what you want to do, and listen to your opinions; they give you time. I have found that over the years this is so important of a GP; it helps you to feel like an individual not just another number or statistic.
