It is difficult to get an appointment at this practise unless it is an emergency, which in my case would be a crisis point. Typically advance bookings for appointments are several weeks in advance. Last year my medication was doubled by specialists at an NHS Mental Health centre. Meadowcroft Surgery, with no warning or consultation, halved the amount of medication that I was allowed to order forcing me to buy prescriptions every two weeks instead of every four weeks. Getting to the pharmacy once a month is already a big deal for me. Then the new online ordering system was forced on us back in September and it apparently doesn't work at all. My first order did not materialise and I have been either too ill or preoccupied to chase it up. I am now heading for another major breakdown. Cheers, Meadowcroft. I know that there are Doctors at Meadowcroft who genuinely care. One doctor has in the past worked late and phoned me in the evening to share test results with me, or to find out how I'm doing. But that was a physical problem. I am not sure that the practise as a whole takes mental health quite so seriously, nor realises what a barrier it is for someone with serious mental health issues to order and physically collect medication whilst working long, unsociable hours.
