It is so hard to get an appointment i self medicate, you get the impression they dont want patients in the surgery unless they are for private medicals, no problem getting them appointments.

Almost impossible to get an appointment via new 'triage' system! It will never work. Tried three times - wouldnt see me !! I lost my husband last year and am no further forward trying to come to terms with it and decided - on family recommendation - that I need professional help - but cannot get to see a doctor.

The new appointment booking system is awful - trying to get an appointment when you work full time and cannot receive personal phone calls is impossible. Prior to this new system I would have rated this practice highly - this is no longer the case. When you phone you are kept on hold, the message suggests you phone later when it is less busy but by then all the slots to talk to a doctor are gone. They arranged a call back but don't give you an allocated slot - therefore you cannot juggle this arrange work commitments. As someone with chronic health problems access to my gp should be easy - unfortunately not at this practice. A good practise has been ruined by this change.

A conversation I had with the doctor at the start of my appointment about my care at the surgery was completely ignored. I am 73 years old and normally feel quite healthy. However I am never called in for a health check. Recently I have had some health problems, some tests were done and the problems diagnosed. I was given telephone numbers for a physiotherapist and a choice of hospitals to see a consultant and told to make my own appointments. I do not think of this as being a caring situation. I was ushered out of the surgery as quickly as possible presumably before i could ask any further questions. This practice has now stopped repeat prescriptions being requested over the telephone unless you are housebound. I think this is unacceptable. Another issue is the fact that there is no continuation after a diagnosis. You never see the same doctor twice.

my wife foned at 9-45am,on my behalf, and told someone would fone back to see who I should see for a quicker responce,3pm dr.cordner foned.this is a doctor acting as a triage nurse, and when I complained he said this is the way it is,I have recently had major surgery and so I had to fone the hospital,if I was back working,I would have been out when he foned. So much for the caring healthservice.
