I was 10 minutes late for my GP appointment receptionist said I could not see my GP even though the surgery was empty which I pointed out to the receptionist, she informed me I would have to make another appointment I explained I had came from my workplace in Boldon and had difficulty finding a parking space she said GP would not see me ( she didn't ask if he would see me ) so I made an appointment for the following evening, I arrived at surgery 10 minutes early to have to sit 40 minutes after my appointment waiting to see GP AS EXPECTED I WAS FUMING I spoke to receptionist ( same lady as night before she informed me GP was running late, I informed her I was running late day before but was refused by you my appointment, my time is as important as GPS time, I made complaint to practice manager she said she would get back to me when she spoke to receptionist as she should have asked Dr to see me even though I was late, I have received no phone call or any correspondence from practice manager re incident, I informed manager in meeting I would be looking for another GP she asked me to give her another chance, Mayfield medical centre used to be a very good surgery, now you cant get an appointment, when you do Dr informs you he could have diagnosed what was wrong with you over the phone, prescriptions are never right always an item missing off my repeat prescription which means I have to wait till Dr signs for item, absolutely ridiculous , total waste of time.
