I tried to book online. No appointments available. So I rang. No problem getting an appointment after I passed the filtering interview. I will never be happy having to give private and personal medical information to non-medical staff. When I arrived the receptionist staff were "less than helpful". My name was not on the electronic book-in system. I waited for several minutes at the counter with no acknowledgment and then gave up. Luckily, my name came up anyway on the appointment board. When I got to see the GP, my treatment was first rate. My daughter received similar dismissive treatment from the receptionists trying to find out if another doctor's letter had arrived and so an appointment should be booked. The medical staff are very good. The receptionists could do with some extended training on service delivery.
