This was a planned 10 yearly health check. Getting the appointment was easy but the experience at and subsequent to the appointment was a little contradictory. I felt as if major decisions were being asked of me without giving the time or enough information to make them. My summary booklet was sparsely completed. I had to ring to clarify the situation concerning follow up tests and their timescale.

Fortunately my visit wasn’t about anything urgent, but an NHS health check. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly. The appointment was on time. The nurse I saw was fantastic! Really friendly, helpful, informative and encouraging. Although I feel faint if see needles/blood and don’t feel well in clinical settings or rooms without natural light, I actually enjoyed this appointment. Thank you so much to this nurse.

In this case, I couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you.

Generally, happy with surgery.

The appointment system should be more inclusive for people that not only work full-time but also work far away.

When the announcement is given to summon the patient the sound is a little quiet. I have seen people miss it.
