The appointment system seems to have been put in place to suit the surgery rather than the patient. I'm not allowed to book an appointment without first waiting for a doctor to call me back to see if I really do need to see a Dr (perhaps i'm just a timewaster) and if I do then I have to be ready to just drop everything and go that day. I think I know when I need to see a Dr and don't need a telephone assessment first. Not all requests to see the Dr are urgent so being able to book an appointment in advance makes sense to me - shame it does not make sense to the surgery. It all felt as if everything (system) had been put in place for the surgeries convenience rather than for the wellbeing of the patient. Not happy at all!
