Having had a lobectomy for lung cancer, my consultant said I always needed to keep Prednisolone and antibiotics at home for emergency use. Fortunately I have not needed these medicines for a while. Two days ago I developed what i considered to be a chest infection and did an online request for these meds. I received a reply saying I must do an e consult which I did. I then received a reply saying E consult couldn't do this so I had to text repeat or put in a written request at the surgery. I put in a written request at the surgery this morning and the receptionist said my meds would be at the Knowle House pharmacy by 5pm,.....it wasn,t because the doctor hadn't done my prescription as promised. This happens to be a Friday and because the pharmacy isn't open weekends, I would have to wait until Monday, feeling quite poorly. I managed to a prescription signed by going back yet again to the surgery. This is very frustrating for a cancer patient. Regards Derek Stentiford
