I have been a patient for around 23 years at this Practice and have never had a problem. The receptionists are helpful and caring as are the nurses - Theresa in particular has been with the practice for a long time. Appointments are usually on time; all the GPs are competent, knowledgeable and efficient, using the little time allocated to examine, assess and where necessary prescribe appropriately. Having suffered a couple of serious diseases and subsequent related issues in the past, I feel priveleged to receive great quality of care. All the staff, past and present, have my grateful thanks and acknowledgement of their expertise. If I have to single one person out I should mention Dr David Unwin (now retired) who I feel is an outstanding GP. His sense of humour in times of stress was an absolute lifesaver. He would always go the extra mile for his patients. probably to his own personal cost. I wish all the staff well under the straitened circumstances of the NHS today. Theirs is not an easy job; it takes many skills to run a successful medical practice and this they do brilliantly. Suggestions? Maybe emails when a patient has a quick query without necessarily needing treatment would be a good thing and cut down on GP visits where appropriate? This surgery consistently provides good care in all senses. The reception staff know and recognise you with a smile, the practise nurses similarly. The doctor care is outstanding, with every conscious effort made to provide the best care possible.
