I have recently moved in to the area and registered at this practice on the advice of my neighbour and the NHS website. I am delighted. The administrative and nursing staff are friendly, and professional. I am confident that when they say they will do something it will be done. I really appreciate the text service to confirm appointments. The web site is user friendly. It is so useful to book my own appointments and re order prescriptions. I have seen a GP a couple of times. They were patient, unrushed, and I felt that they took the time to “get to the bottom” of the problem. The results of any tests taken have been reported back to me quickly, with follow up if necessary. I once needed an emergency appointment – I was able to book this on the website on the day and saw the GP a couple of hours later. I cannot praise them highly enough.

I have been with this practice for 30 years and feel that I have been well looked after. When my first husband died of cancer 21 years ago, Dr Coleman and Dr Forbes were there for me all the way during the 9 months I cared for him at home before he died. When I started having problems with my heart 5 years ago, Dr Forbes quickly referred me to the hospital for further investigations, where I was found to have been born with a bicuspid aortic valve in my heart instead of the usual tricuspid valve. The valve has since been replaced with a metallic valve and my health returned to normal. Over the last 2 years I have undergone intensive treatment for breast cancer, and have had top rate care at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. I feel confident that this good care will continue with the doctors at Kingthorne Group Practice.

The reception staff are always polite and efficient on arrival or when telephone bookings are made. Booking in is so simple and easy, the waiting room is always tidy and surgery rooms are well located. Everyone always has a smile which is very welcoming even when you don't feel like smiling. The surgery is well upto date and does what it says on the tin..I would recommend this surgery to anyone who asked.
