I am travelling to Turkey in 2 weeks and have been trying today to get an appointment for vacinations against the NHS suggested Hep A, Typhoid and Cholera. I spoke with your office staff who were very helpful and asked me to fill a form in asap and the nurse would call me back to advise what i needed and to arrange an appointment. I therefore came out of work raced to the surgery at lunchtime and filled in the form to be basically told by the receiptionist Julie that there were no appointments before i went and i could try Leeds where i would have to pay. I cannot afford to pay for the jabs especially when they should be free. I have therefore been in contact with NHS England to lodge a complaint and am waiting for 111 to get back to me. In the meantime i am now ringing round all Drs in the area to see if any can see me as a temporary patient as you are unable to. I not have a copy of my medical vaccination records for any other Drs who maybe able to see me as i am not really clear on which vaccinations i am covered for. I am very disappointed that your are unable to help especially as the NHS requests that people have these jabs free as they are the highest risk if brought back into the UK. If i am unable to sort before I leave I will travel without them and hope i am safe.
