Saw Dr. Wakeley who suggested (emphatically!) that I needed to control my diabetes because a finger prick test at the time showed 15.1! He recommended a diet free of potatoes, pasta, rice and other starchy carbs. As a result I have lost 3 lbs in 4 days and average blood sugar now 8-9!
