I was a couple of minutes late..due to new roadworks. I spoke with the receptionist and explained I needed a blood sample taking before seeing Dr Byrne. I was sent to wait upstairs. Being my first visit to the practice I assumed the blood clinic was there. After waiting around 5 minutes Dr Byrne popped his head out of his office and called my name. I was in for a prostate review. I was asked by the doctor if I had had my bloods done as he asked when making the appointment over the phone. I said that I had told the receptionist this and thought I was waiting to get that done when sent upstairs. To cut the story. The Doctor was unable to conduct the appointment as I had to have my blood done before the appointments not after as the readings would be wrong after an examination. I was later seen by the blood nurse but then had to make another appointment to see the doctor ..a week later. I asked if the appointment time etc would be text to my phone as my previous practice had done, being a septuagenarian I tend to forget a little, I was told "Yes"...but a day later I am still waiting....But I received a text asking how my appointment went!! The short appointment with Dr Byrne was positive, informative and reassuring. The staff I spoke with were friendly...But the rest was somewhat chaotic. I hope my next visit is more as I would expect.

Suggested improvements
If Text appointments is not done at the practice please say so and then I would be able to ask for an appointment time and date to be written on paper and given to me.
