I have been a patient at jiggins lane surgery for nearly 30 years and while I do not have any long term health problems I have been to see doctors with the usual range of problems over the years. In all that time only twice have I not been able to get an appointment the same day, both times reception staff were very apologetic and offered me appointments early the next day. If I have been fussy, for example needing an after work appointment or a particular gp, I have still had an appointment within a few days, however if I am hat fussy it obviously isn't urgent! I have never had to justify to reception staff why I need an appointment, as I have heard of others needing to do. When I have attended, appointments have been as close to on time as is realistic to expect, often more so and everyone has been friendly and helpful. Basically I have found the practice to be excellent and feel confident in continuing to use and recommend it..
