This surgery is abysmal and abusive! I’m quite sure there are more receptionist than patients and these receptionist appeared to have been specifically hand picked for their unpleasantness, unhelpfulness and general distain of other people, especially sick people!
I mean we all know that a certain level of gate keeping is required within every public service but these receptionist should receive a certificate of ignorance to hang on their wall, they have absolutely nothing about them that demonstrates any sense of urgency and are completely dismissive , rude and contemptuous of patients, happy to discuss and diagnose patients in front of other patients ! The phone is put on silent, they choose to pick it up when they choose to pick it up, hence complaints of taking up to 45 mins to get through, and all the appointments are gone - strange that? Perhaps the nastiest one gets a prize from the GP at the end of the month? I know that sounds childish but seriously I’ve seen Grisly Bears less protective of their cubs , those women remind me of some weird wild animals that will do anything to evict you from their territory and prize procession ( the GP) to the absolute danger of the patient. This is supposed to be a NHS GP service but if you explore further it appears that private work is being undertaken on the premises, such as Health Assessment Reports and cosmetic work? Is this why sick people who have contributed to the NHS and who’s parents and grandparents before them are refused appointments? Are Dr’s too busy with their private work to be bothered with NHS patients ? If you are lucky enough to access an appointment, don’t be surprised that it’s “prescribing nurse” when you get there , or the face to face appointment you’ve waited for for three weeks at 2:00pm changes to another GP calling you at 11:00 whist your trying to get out of the bath , TELLING you this is your appointment, what did you want ? It’s absolutely terrifying as a patient, to be sick and treated in this way and apparently it’s not just my experience?
I’m not surprised that this surgery hasn’t started offering trips to Switzerland to finally get rid of all those patients who so badly bother the surgery but then again this would reduce pain and suffering and they couldn’t possibly have that!
