Up to now, touch wood I have always been able to book an appointment with the doctor online to suit, however in fairness I have not had to book via the receptionist for the doctor only the nurse, and they have always been fine and accommodating. I have heard it's not easy to get an early appointment via the phone for the doctor, but if I was in that position I would ask to speak to a doctor and discuss my problem and concern and leave it up to the doctor to decide when to fit me in. I am really pleased with the care I'm given by my doctor, and as I have Asthma I visit the nurse once a year and she is always very good. On a negative point, I have used the toilet there 3 times in total over the past year or so and each time the loo papers either low or there is none and the dryers not worked, so these things need to be checked regularly. It would be nice to see a cheery face behind the reception desk too, not always possible I know, but it does help and puts patients at ease. Having said all that I am a very happy patient, so thanks to all at Ifield surgery.
