The appointments system is quite frankly appalling, it doesn't work. You have to wait 2 months for an appointment, or ring bang on 8oclock every morning. For people who work full time this is really difficult. This then leads to people getting angry with the receptionists. It's not their fault and they do seem to do their best to accommodate people, but having this rule about appointments is putting them in a difficult position.
Having said all of the above, I lost a baby 18months ago and at the time my GP was extremely supportive and I can't fault him for that.
