Received a text asking me to make an appointment to discuss blood test results. Been on hold for 65 minutes. I was caller 10 when first put on hold and am still caller 4. I understand that they are short staffed but if it takes the receptionist 10 mins to deal with each call surely something is very very wrong here? The system is either very flawed or someone is in the wrong job.

Suggested improvements
Organise staff people to deal with telephone enquiries and assess the performance of those in that role. It appears that whoever is responsible for answering these calls is exceptionally inefficient.
