After ringing the surgery for 45 mins three mornings running, I eventually managed to get through. I asked for a Dr's appointment urgently for that day and was told to attend later that morning. I saw who I presumed to be a lady Dr who after a brief and somewhat unsatisfactory discussion asked me to see her again two days later. The evening before my second appointment the lady rung and introduced herself as a nurse practitioner, who had spoken to a Dr about me and instructed me as to what they had decided as a treatment plan. I feel like a child who two adults have discussed. I have no objection to being seen by a nurse practitioner but feel if one asks for a Dr's appointment that is what you should get or at least have it made very clear that you are NOT seeing a Dr.
