I was a previous patient with the East Kent Family Practice and due to the closure of this surgery [which was devastating for me], I was placed with the Guildhall Surgery. I'm not sure how many of us were required to find another doctor, I've been told about 1,500 but the whole situation is totally ridiculous. Guildhall Surgery is cramped and antiquated and trying to get an appointment is an absolute joke. Today I have been phoning and phoning from 8:30 and gave up at 3:30, so I walked there and spoke with the receptionist who said she was very sorry but there was nothing she could do and she was right, it's not her fault but to accommodate so many patients something has to be done. I also suggested that when the recorded message on the 'phone says 'you are in a queue' etc. why the hell doesn't it tell you what number you are in that queue ? It doesn't take a great deal of brain power to get things right - let's hope the situation improves although I have my doubts !

All I wanted was to get my prescription. I waited 45 mins to be seen by the doctor to spend 30 secs with him. Dr Rafi is abrupt and has no bed side manner. This surgery is getting worse on every visit I make. Drs decide one thing can happen and the manager decides it can't. The manager is very rude and thinks she is better than any person us g this surgery.

i had two suspicious dark moles on my chest and as i holiday in greece decided to have them checked out so had a consultation with Dr Patel and have now been back and had them removed and samples sent away to make sure everything was okay, Dr Patel and the Nurse Helen Burton were very reassuring as i am nervous of injections. All went well and this is why i support the NHS and this surgery in Particular also Julie Wren for the information she gave me before hand that helped in my decision to go ahead with treatment. Too many people run down their surgeries when they should be supporting them as they have heavy work loads and have to deal with them with the staff they have available

I have always been able to get to see a GP when I have needed to. I had to wait over a week for a routine visit - but that was fine. Other times I have been able to ring at 8.30am and get an appointment for that day. It does take a while to get through on the phone. The two nurses that I have had recent dealings with have been friendly and helpful -looking at ways to minimise disruption for myself.

Worst experience of my life. The receptionists were utterly disrespectful, the speak down at you as if your sometime type of animal!Lets no begin to talk about the fact that you can never waiting up to half an hour after your original appointment time! Not worth being a patient as the overall service is a disgrace to the entire health service!!!
