Having jumped through all the hoops required to get an appointment, the doctor decided I needed an MRI scan and an appointment would be forthcoming. Four weeks later having not heard anything I phoned the surgery to be told nothing had been done due to an error but they would action it. A few weeks later the MRI scan appointment arrived and when I discussed the results with my doctor he said there was an anomaly and would arrange further tests. After several more weeks I waiting I went to the surgery and once again was told nothing had been done about the appointment and no one could give a reason for that. I asked to see the practice manager and was told she would ring me within two working days. Having had cause to revisit the surgery I thought I would ask about this and the practice manager was surprised to hear she was supposed to call me within this period and had me in her diary for a call the following week. Something is seriously wrong with the administration or internal communication of this surgery. The worry caused by the delays and constant chasing up for appointments has caused me greater stress than the worry over whatever is wrong with me.
