The St Richards Road main surgery is usually pretty full and hard to reach by bus. Golf Road is much less busy except during episodes like flu vaccinations , with one GP and maybe the Nurse practitioner or practice nurse on duty. The former can write prescriptions, and the latter will take blood samples. . A practice pharmacist attends Golf Road once a month, so in my case I needed to go to the main surgery to save a wait. My impression is the upper floor is not much used and I have never been up there. In the same building is a bright café with reasonable prices, run by Kent College, and down the road is the Golf Road Pharmacy where you can collect prescriptions. A staff shortage did affect this surgery but the appointment of a new GP couple (the second in this practice!) may improve waiting times.
