It is extremely hard to get an appointment here even if you do phone or turn up at 8am or just before. The receptionists are often very nosy and patronising apart from a couple. I do however have to say that if you are fortunate enough to get an appointment, most doctors are very attentive and understanding (especially Dr Iqbal and Dr Howard.) On the other hand Dr Journeaux makes all the appointments seem like a task, is dismissive and and doesn't explain, meaning I have had to see other doctors and use their time. The surgery is very clean, with an up to date interactive check in system and the nurses are all lovely and very helpful.

Response from Gold Street Surgery

Thank you for your comments. I am sorry if you feel that the receptionists are nosey. Our staff are encouraged to try and help patients by ensuring they are seen by the correct clinician which can be a nurse practitioner, nurse, health care assistant or even a member of our administration team in some cases. We will discuss this with them at our next in-house training session, scheduled for December. We are aware that privacy at the reception desk may be a problem and display notices advising that patients may be seen privately on request. We are also going to put a marker on the floor in front of reception desk so that patients waiting are further away. We hope this will help. Thank you
