I have over the last 5 years been generally very happy with the quality of the medical care. I have, however, noticed that over this time it has now become impossible to get an appointment. When I do need to see a doctor I would not describe it as urgent and my health concern might not be something that needs a doctors attention that day. However, appointments cannot be booked in advance. I work in London so I often find myself having to take a day off to phone the surgery before 8am that day in hope of getting an appointment. Again this morning I was not successful and will have to repeat this process again next week as and when I can juggle my work commitments. Why is it that the surgery cannot advance book a restricted number of appointments? The service offered at School Street has also been significantly reduced in recent years. I would however, like to note that the chemist dispensary within the Gold Street surgery is a great facility and appreciate this additional service.
