Would it be possible for patients with long-term complex ailments to be able to see one or two specific doctors who are familiar with that patient?
For my part, the quality of the care I receive very much depends on which doctor I am able to get an appointment with. I have a particular ailment which requires me to see THREE different consultants at Kingston Hospital and ONE at St Thomas' in London. If I am not able to get an appointment with one of the two regular GPs who know about my ailments (Dr Miller and Dr Ramscar), I have to start at the beginning each time.
