This surgery is a laughing stock, too many patients, too few doctors and nurses, no chance of an appointment. No urgent care, have to go to Giggs Hill! How are patients from Molesey supposed to get there if they do not have there own transport, there is no public transport available? My wife had a gall bladder operation yesterday and this morning had a bleed from one of the wounds, so I rang Glenlyn for a home visit, no chance, can you get to the surgery for 4pm appointment. What good option for someone who has just had surgery, is in some pain and whenever they move the wound oozes. We managed to get to the surgery where the doctor examined my wife and suggested making a follow up appointment on Friday or Saturday with the nurse just to make sure the wounds are heeling. No chance of an appointment fully booked, you can always pop into the walk-in centres at Teddington or Weybridge, thank you so much my wife has just had SURGERY and should not be moving about unnecessarly. Solutions get more doctors and nurses and don't take on anymore patients so that there might be some hope of getting an appointment when required, and not in 3 weeks time, could be dead by then. Response from Glenlyn Medical Centre

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We apologise if our service did not meet your expectations, and appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns. We continually strive to provide a consistently reliable service and an excellent level of patient care. We are unable to discuss individual cases online for reasons of confidentiality. In line with most surgeries, home visit requests are triaged by the duty doctor, who may call the patient for more information, before deciding if a home visit is necessary. We do expect patients to come to the surgery if they are able to, as the clinician can see several patients in the time it takes to make one home visit. Nationally, we are seeing an increase in demand for GP appointments and we are also experiencing this locally, which means we are busier than ever. We have a full-time Practice Nurse and three Doctors who have recently joined the Practice. We continue to undertake recruitment to extend the team further. We are also expanding our administration team and providing them with additional training to help improve how we work as a Practice. If you would like to contact the surgery direct, this will allow us to investigate further. Your observations will be used as part of our staff training, in order to develop the standard of care and level of service we provide.
