This used to be a great surgery but now you have to wait 3-4 weeks for an appointment, which is appalling. Also, you can't have a named GP any more, and I haven't seen the same doctor twice in over three years. It was somebody new again last week, so there is no continuity. You end up having to explain everything over and over again. The turnover of doctors has just been ridiculous. Also, the GPs and nurse practitioners are not trained to use their own computer system! This may sound unimportant but it can be dangerous. It has had a direct impact on my care over the last 3 visits because they say they haven't received any information from my appointment in February with my diabetes specialist. In fact he entered the information onto the system shared with Glenlyn on the day of my appointment (now 3 months ago!). Two GPs and one nurse practitioner have since told me they don't have it (one as recently as last week) but the diabetes nurse at Molesey hospital showed it to me onscreen recently and demonstrated how Glenlyn can access it. I explained it all to the last GP I saw but she still couldn't find it. As a result of this they prescribed a different dose of a new drug from the one my diabetes specialist had recommended. I wish I could move to a different surgery but the only other one near me isn't taking any new patients. So much for patient choice!
