I am filling this in for my husband. My husband has many health problems and I make appointments for him etc. My husband is unable to go inside the waiting area due to phobias but I go in before so my husband can wait outside. We have been at the surgery for many years. The first Dr we saw there was Dr Evered. For the last 10 something years we have been seen by Dr Tepa; she was an excellent Dr and she was very helpful and understanding. Now unfortunately Dr Tepa has retired but we have been to see Dr Manohar. My husband went for a routine medicine review. We felt Dr Manohar listened to what we had to say and was concerned for my husbands comfort and future health. Because it is a small surgery it is sometimes hard to get through on the phone (especially Mondays) but we feel this is not due to any problem with the surgery but more likely with people who get ill over the Fri, Sat, Sun period. Its a great little surgery!!!!!!! Two things that should be done..... doors open in waiting areas when the weather in good and updates when a Dr is running late.

Response from Garlinge Surgery

Thank you for your feedback, I take note of your suggestion to inform patients when clinicians are running late. We discuss feedback given by patients regularly in meetings and look at new ways to improve on areas that are highlighted. Keeping doors open in good weather is a good idea and indeed some days we do open them. We are looking into improving telephone access, patient online access for appointments and repeat scripts may help reduce the pressure on phones, however this is a relatively new service not widely used as yet. Many thanks Practice Manager
