I find the in advance online booking very helpful so it would be great if this functionality was extended to on the day booking. Mainly as it can be very difficult to get through on the phones in the morning. In my experience you can be on hold for 20 minutes sometimes even if you call at the 8-30 surgery opening time - to then find you have missed out on an appointment with your doctor of choice.
