I was asked to call surgery to speak to Dr about test results. Called New Year's Eve morning, at a time told to by the letter I received from the surgery. I was told Dr's had already left for the day. Fast forward three days, over the bank holiday weekend, to be told I would get a call after 11.30. At 14.15 still no call, to be assured that Dr will call me 'some time' today, but can't give me a time. So after three days I still don't have any information on my test results and the anxiety of having to stay by the phone with a 21 month old child clawing at the front to get out! The questions above really don't reflect my experience. Yes I can get a telephone appointment, but that call is in no way guaranteed as past experience tells me he may not get round to me today. It also doesn't reflect when doctors go home early for the holiday weekend!
